THE TOUR LEADER
It's not the guide. It's the one who stays.
A guide explains a place: two, three hours in front of a monument, then goes home. That's their job, and it's a fine one. Two different jobs. The tour leader — that's you — doesn't go home. You stay: whole days, the group on you from breakfast to dinner, the decisions, the moment something goes wrong. It looks easy. It isn't. And nobody can do it for you.
But on your own, being irreplaceable gets you nothing. The tour operator pays you what they decide, and the knowledge you build on the ground — the places, the routes, the contacts — ends up in their systems, not yours. So you're replaceable anyway. Not by technology: by organisation.
SYNDICATE is the organisation on the other side.
What you learn on the ground stays yours. What you find on the ground — where people really eat, which road holds up, which hotel doesn't let you down — goes into the tour leaders' shared memory. We build it, we use it. It doesn't get handed to an operator for free.
Weight, when it's time to negotiate. Alone, you bargain one by one and you always lose. Together, pay gets discussed with an association behind you, not a single person.
Tools that work for you. Not systems that watch you: technology that makes your work leaner, faster, freer — built by people who actually lead tours.
Three levels. The first one is free.
- Registered — free.Fill in the application and see the map of what tour leaders have built: the places, the routes, the stays — on the surface.
- Member — the association fee.The real databases open up: where to eat, how to move, where to sleep, with the details you need to work. And your voice in the association.
- All the tools — the subscription. The tour builder, the app for your passengers, the cash box, the tickets. Your whole tour in one pocket — yours, not the operator's.
Your work pays you back.
Every time one of your contributions goes into the shared memory — a new place, a check, an accepted correction — it comes back to you: discounts on the tools and on partner services. Whoever contributes more, pays less.
That's the circle: the knowledge stays ours, and whoever keeps it alive gets recognised for it.
In return, one thing.
Work well. Not just pocket the money. Earn what's fair — always — but from the operator who exploits you, not from the traveller you take around or the place you show them.
Become a serious professional: registered, recognised, high-level. And free — you work for several operators, you don't belong to one.
If you think mass tourism is fine as it is, or you only care about the money, this is not the place for you.
Registering is free. Being a member costs. What it unlocks is everything else.
